Do This Now
10 seconds- PUT ON YOUR OXYGEN MASK FIRST - pull down firmly
- Pull strap to tighten mask over nose and mouth
- Breathe normally - oxygen is flowing even if bag does not inflate
- THEN help children and others near you
Next 60 Seconds
1 minute- Keep mask on until crew says it is safe
- Fasten seatbelt tightly
- Secure loose items that may have scattered
- Stay calm - pilot is descending to safe altitude
- Hold items for children who cannot hold masks
If Landing is Imminent
Pre-landing- Keep oxygen mask on until advised otherwise
- Review brace position with mask on
- Prepare for possible emergency landing
- Note nearest exits
After Stop/Landing
Post-landing- Remove mask only when instructed
- Follow crew evacuation commands if needed
- Check on fellow passengers
- Report any breathing difficulties to crew
