Exit safely and help others evacuate
Do This Now
10 seconds- Wait for crew command to evacuate
- Leave ALL personal belongings
- Remove high heels before using slide
- Identify your nearest usable exit
Next 60 Seconds
1 minute- Move quickly but do not run or push
- Follow the path to your designated exit
- If exit is blocked, go to alternate exit
- Help those who need assistance if safe
- Keep moving - do not stop in aisle
If Landing is Imminent
Pre-landing- Stay in brace position until aircraft stops
- Wait for crew evacuation command
- Review exit location one more time
- Mentally prepare to move quickly
After Stop/Landing
Post-landing- Jump and slide - cross arms over chest on slide
- Move away from aircraft immediately
- Go upwind if there is smoke or fire
- Gather at designated assembly point
- Help emergency services account for passengers
